Grave Digger – Monster Truck
Grave Digger first debuted in 1982 and was nothing but a red pickup truck with some giant wheels running over cars and digging up the tracks. It has evolved over the years into the green and black monster truck that we all know and love today.
1984 changed the truck to a panel truck and in 1985 it took on the iconic paint job we see today. In 1986 we get to see Grave Digger defeat Big Foot on national TV. By 1989 Grave Digger has expanded to two teams and its new fiberglass body is introduced. New drivers start to come onboard and join the team. 1991 shows Australia what Grave Digger can do and in 1992 the first green chasis on Grave Digger is shown.
The Grave Digger Driving Team consists of 10 drivers:
Dennis Anderson – The original driver of Grave Digger. Grave Digger was created in an old garage in Kill Devil Hills, North
Carolina, where Dennis originally pieced the machine together from old parts of discarded vehicles.1996 was a devastating hit to the Grave Digger team as Dennis Anderson is out with a broken back and cracked ribs. Dennis makes a comeback in 2000 wining the MJWF Freestyle Championship. By 2001 Grave Digger is now worldwide! In 2004 Dennis Anderson and Grave Digger win the MJWF again! In 2008 Grave Digger XX is built and is still driven by Dennis today. 2010 wins Dennis and Grave Digger the 9th annual MJWF Championship, and making it 9 victories by 2011. 2012 leads to the 30th anniversary of Grave Digger.
